The winners of the Republican Olympiad on financial literacy among schoolchildren are identified
The winners of the annual Republican Olympiad on financial literacy among pupils of grades X – XI are named.
The most financially literate pupil in 2018 became Makarchik Marya Magdalene (school № 1, Grodno), she was awarded a diploma of I degree and a valuable prize - a tablet computer. Diploma of II degree and smartphone awarded Chygvintsev Kirill (secondary school № 38, Gomel). Diploma of III degree and the camera got Glina Yaroslav (high school number 9, Kobrin).
Republican Olympiad took place in September - December. In the four stages of it financial knowledge checked about 23 thousand schoolchildren of X-XI classes from more than 2,300 institutions of secondary education over the country. Young people respond to questions about personal finance, cash, savings, borrowing, digital banking, central banking, insurance, taxes and investments.
Republican Olympiad on financial literacy among pupils in X-XI classes of secondary education institutions has been carried out by the National Bank and the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus since 2014. The Republican Olympiad is one of the most significant national events to improve financial literacy amoung children. The main goal of the Republican Olympiad is the popularization of knowledge in the field of finance, the formation of practical skills pupils, the development of the financial culture of youth.
